GRATITUDE

IMPACT: ENDING THE LUXURY-RATE SALES TAX ON DIAPERS & FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS

IMPACT: ESTABLISHING A MISSOURI PRISON NURSERY
Missouri Prison Nursery Program Expanding Before It Launches
Missouri’s plan to establish a nursery for mothers and infants in a state prison is expanding, with the capacity increasing from seven to 14 mothers. PARTNER SPOTLIGHT KEYWAY: CENTER FOR DIVERSION & REENTRY
We’re excited to collaborate with Keyway: Center for Diversion & Reentry in support of initiatives focused on enhancing food security, nutrition, and justice. Three bills filed by a bipartisan group of legislators (Senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman (R), Senator Lauren Arthur (D), and Representative Chad Perkins (R)), not only address access to SNAP benefits, but also advocate for the cessation of shackles on incarcerated women during childbirth. Together, we’re working to improve the lives of justice-involved women and their families.
